With brand new material taking shape in the studio, new dates for some exclusive live shows pending, and a whole new promotional brand roll-out in the offing, 2012 promises to be a lively, creative year for Tempo chums. JAN12

Yep, that's right. Of course, as news features go, this one's big on fancy-pants claims and excitement and pretty thin on solid facts for your iCal. But don't let a silly thing like that slow up your enthusiasm now. Because Twelve looks like an exciting one ahead. Not least of which because it will be the year of the follow-up LP.

As Mr Peach is happy to say in speech marks, to make himself sound much more important: "I'm almost dementedly excited about the new tunes. Of course I am."

"I can say that the new album is mapped out solidly, with some eleven of the fifteen tracks sketched out in first recordings – and I can't wait to share them with everyone. They'll fit into the live shows beautifully. Really can't wait. Sessions with some of the boys from the Pops Orchestra and other musical chums are due to start in February, with a view to wrapping up a couple of vanguard tunes in particular."

Determined to stay tight-lipped about specifics, though obviously dying to give in really, Momo can at least promise a new single some time in the spring, with the next outing of the Electro Pops Orchestra due to be announced very soon. "Yes, the next show is due to be soon, and in Bournemouth. But we're gearing everything around the lead-up to the LP's release later in the summer, with a fab lead single and some other new material due for preview airings at the shows much earlier in the year."

There will also be a complete brand re-vamp for Momo:tempo, in the light of the new album, and a schedule of creative sillyness appearing online over the year - including all kinds of exclusive free tracks to Momo amigos.

"For anyone interested in Momo's rather jolly brand of electro-funk foolishness, there will be lots to look out for and enjoy in 2012, that's for sure. Tons of new music, vid nonsense, live shows and the odd bit of rather smart merch."

First details of the new year schedule are due soon, so keep your eyes on Facebook and Twitter for the very latest.
