The Momo:tempo Electro Pops Orchestra
Live at SIxty Million Postcards
September 03 2011
They're back – the live electro funk theatrics of Momo:tempo's Electro Pops Orchestra is coming to Bomo town for one night only, at one of the grooviest south coast music bars.
It's your chance to catch a slice of something rather original, even if we do say so ourselves – Momo bringing the beats to life from the quietly epic and bonkers album The Golden Age of Exploration, and right in the heart of his home town.
Joined this time by the immense talents of John Herbison, David Ruff and Pat Hayes on horns, Mark Adkins on drums and Simon Mellish on percussion, Momo live is a beat and tune fest – fronted by the good chap himself, in full face-pulling effect, Timo Peach.
"If you're a fan of live electronic party music, you'd be daft if you went to bed at a sensible hour and didn't catch the show" he says. "We only step out live on special dates, we don't tour, so this is a spot of fun not many get to see. Plus, the shows are currently the only way to pick up production CD copies of The Golden Age – so grab the opportunity!"
Brought to you by Strawberry Fields Represents, and part of Bournemouth's Musicosity festival, the event is also promoting Bournemouth Arts By The Sea festival, as well as being a bit of a precursor to Strawberry Lantern's upcoming Music Industry Conference in October.
"Lots of creativity is bubbling under right here in the heart of the south coast and I'm always happy to get up and make a noise about it. Lots of talent finds inspiration here" Timo says. "I mean, this show's taking place just five minute's amble from seven miles of golden beach. Not a bad way to wind up the summer, I think."
Saturday September 3rd 2011, at Sixty Million Postcards, Exeter Road, Bouremouth – don't miss your chance to take home a few very special memories of Momo.
